This full-day private Kathmandu sightseeing tour will take you to four different UNESCO World Heritage sites: Kathmandu Durbar Square, Pashupatinath Temple, Boudhanath Stupa and Swyambhunath Stupa. On this guided tour which includes lunch, hotel pickup and drop-off and private transportation, you will explore many interesting sites, some of which are as old as 2,500 years.

You will be picked up from your hotel at 10am and begin your tour from Kathmandu Durbar Square. This area houses the royal palace of the former Kathmandu Kingdom and represents the finest examples of Hindu and Buddhist architecture. Kathmandu Durbar Square held the palaces of the Malla and Shah kings who ruled over the city. Along with these palaces, the square surrounds quadrangles, revealing courtyards and temples. It is known as Hanuman Dhoka Durbar Square, a name derived from a statue of Hanuman, the monkey devotee of Lord Ram, at the entrance of the palace.

Next, proceed on 45-minute drive to the 2-tiered golden roof and silver doors temple of Lord Shiva - Pasupatinath. This structure is famous as a superb example of Newari architecture, situated near the banks of sacred Bagmati river. Pashupatinath is one of the most significant Hindu temples of Lord Shiva in the world. Pashupatinath Temple is also listed as a world heritage site by UNESCO. After that, continue to Bouddhanath Stupa, another UNESCO World Heritage site. This colossal and ancient Stupa, one of Nepal’s most unique monuments and considered to be the world's biggest, attracts Nepalese pilgrims from as far as Dolpo and Mugu as well as Tibet, Ladhak in India and Bhutan.

Before seeing next monument - Swayambhunath Stupa you will make a stop for lunch at a local restaurant. Swayambhunath Stupa is one of the world’s most glorious, ancient, enigmatic and holiest Buddhist Chaityas, and it dates back more than 2,000 years. You will spend an hour around this Stupa and get a chance to watch over the valley from its western side. Swoyambhu is also known as Samhengu and the Monkey Temple because of the countless monkeys living in the premises. After this visit you will be transferred back to your hotel as this tour will be over.

Enjoy a day rafting on the the Trishuli river on this full day river rafting trip from Kathmandu. For the most of the year, the rapids encountered on the Trisuli are straightforward, easily negotiated and well spaced out. It is an excellent river for those looking for a short river trip with some exciting, but not too challenging, rapids. In addition, the river is surrounded by beautiful scenery and a relatively peaceful environment. During the monsoon months the intensity of the rapids increases and attracts a radically different set of rafters, but there are sections for rafting during the monsoon months for those who are looking for a simple, yet exciting trip.

You will be picked up at the meeting spot and transferred to the tourist bus station at 6:45am. From there you will be driven 3 hours to Charaudi, the put-in point, where a crowd of friendly local people eagerly wait to watch the proceedings.

Once at Charaudi, the crew will prepare the rafts, after which you will head towards the river for a safety talk and some lessons on how to use paddles. After that, you will start your rafting trip during which a number of Class I to Class III rapids are encountered (ratings are all given on the international rating scale).

Two hours down the river, at 12pm, you will encounter a beach with strange shaped boulders that resemble sculptures, and on this beach you will have lunch. An outdoor lunch by the river is always an enchanting experience. It will also give you a break from paddling, and some time to take in the scenery.

After lunch, you will continue down the river and encounter Trishuli gorge. Trishuli gorge is narrow and has very steep walls which causes the river to accelerate as it goes through it. Naturally, the rapids here are more ferocious and also more frequent.
At 3pm, the river rafting trip ends and you will be driven back to Kathmandu.
